I am slowly gathering examples of Alexander McQueen and McQ Autumn/Winter 2012 - 2013 collections so I can do a full post, it's just not that easy when you have a cat "helping". But I thought I would give a little teaser as to what could be coming. I want to badly leave my thoughts on the lines right now, but I worry that would ruin things for people, but I will say that this collection is nothing like the Spring/Summer.So here is the teaser :
Well no sooner we get rid of one basketball season, such as it was, than the NBA 2012 Draft is around the corner. Actually, June 28 from Newark, New Jersey at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on ESPN. But after this half of a basketball season I'm not really sure if I care. To me the Miami victory is hollow because of the half-season, but if they can win the Championship when there is a full basketball season then it will be a solid victory in my eyes.
Anywho, back to the upcoming draft. Thus far, there has been three mock drafts with the first one on May 31 and the latest one June 26 and the consensus is that Kentucky center, Anthony Davis is going first to the New Orleans Hornets and yes the Hornets having the first pick does seem shady after the Chris Paul trade fiasco. But now that I think about it seems like business as usual, Louisiana style. Plus the Hornets also have the 10th pick in the Draft and it is predicted that they will take the point guard out of North Carolina, Kendall Marshall. There was also talk of the New Orleans Hornets trading their number 10 spot to the Houston Rockets for their number 14, predicted to be John Henson, power forward out of North Carolina and 16, Austin Rivers, shooting guard from Duke, selections , but the Rockets turned them down because they want to go higher up in the Draft and is said to be talking to the Sacramento Kings at #5 and the Toronto Raptors at #8. These two teams are interested in acquiring Rockets point guard, Kyle Lowry.
The #2 selection in the NBA Draft is the Charlotte Bobcats and they are said to be taking Kansas power forward, Thomas Robinson.
Bradley Beal, shooting forward out of the University of Florida is the number 3 choice for the Washington Wizards. I don't know, I don't even think Harry Potter could help the Wizards.
Projected at #4 is the "Black Falcon" Harrison Barnes, small forward from North Carolina to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, a very regal sounding name, a small forward who is a University of Kentucky Wildcat, is the # 5 projected player. He is projected to go to the Sacramento Kings.
I am just doing the first 5 choices of the NBA Mock Draft and I will put up the link to the full Mock Draft list. But this is just something to give you an idea as to what "experts" are saying because as we all know anything can happen past the last possible second.
I hope this upcoming season will be more fun and fruitful than this last season. And I also hope that there is no cry baby, panty-waiste crying and sniveling because I don't like the way he breathes. Unfortunately there will be and David Stern will mollycoddle them and make things worse instead of telling the player(s) to be a man and suck it up and quit being a wuse.
1 can (14 1/2 oz) chopped tomatoes ( diced works too)
1/2 Cup of white wine or water
12 Kalamata olives, cut in half ( pitted Black Olives work just as well)
Zest and juice of 1 lemon ( No lemon zest, no problem. At least as far as I'm concerned)
1/2 Tsp of dried Oregano ( Italian seasoning should work as a substitution)
1/4 Tsp of Salt
1/8 Tsp of Pepper
4 Fish Fillets (5 to 6 oz each) such as, flounder, talapia or catfish
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion, red pepper and garlic. Cook about 6 minutes, until softened, stirring so that the garlic doesn't burn.
Stir in tomatoes, wine , olives, lemon zest and juice, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Add fish and cook covered, over medium-low heat, for 8 to 10 minutes or until the fish flakes easily. Gently turn the fish over halfway through cooking.
I decide that today's would be Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, nee Middleton, in a red Alexander McQueen dress set that she wore to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee River Pageant Flotilla on June 2,2012. Yes, I know two other people have worn the dress, one won't be mentioned because she stuck her rump in the air and made a fortune and the other one, Tulisa, I have never heard of. That silver pair of shoes that the one who shall remain nameless wore is not good. If Tulisa had worn a solid or a peep toe black leather pump instead of looking like she had black spiders on her feet, she would have looked better. But with that being said, Kate outshined them by unmeasurable fathoms. She looked quite stunning in the red Alexander McQueen design and nude coloured shoes. BRAVO!
Three years ago this month you came not only into the world but my life and today you left both. The lymphoma seemed to have come out of no where and I hope you didn't suffer too bad. I did try to make it better with medicine, but I wasn't told that you could have had cancer I was told it could have possibly been you heart. But with the xrays today showing the fluid build up in your lungs and abdomen with only small pockets of air, removing the fluid wold only prove to be therapeutic and not a cure.I knew what had to be done even though I didn't want to, so my Floppsie Oppsie Doopsie Woopsie Poopsie Kitty Baby Boy I let you go where you can breathe clearly for the first time in a while, enjoy the sunlight and finally get to chase birds and smell the flowers.
My baby boy, you may have been one of many but I love you as if you were my only one. With your cute Jimmy Durante nose and big ears you were my eternal lap kitty, always looking for a snuggle and whatever I may be trying to eat you thought it should be all yours. I will always love you and wish that you were here with me. You are a good boy and thank you for letting me be your mama.
