Do You Know th Bishop of Norwich?

  Have you ever had a glass of port? Or even know a bit of history about port? If so then you know that you the head of the table pours port wine for himself and then passes it clockwise to his friend next to him. If the bottle has stopped being passed before it comes completely around to the head of the table, the person next in line to receive the port will ask "Do you know the Bishop of Norwich?" Some of you will know about the Bishop of Norwich. For those of you who do not,the answer is "He was an awfully nice man, but he never remembered to pass the port". This would be said because asking to "pass the port" is considered to be rude. I suspect that this is so not to embarrass the person who has not passed on the bottle of port to the next person.  So remember to keep the port moving.
