In a one time event fashion designing legend, Valentino designed costumes for the 2012 New York City Ballet Fall Gala was held at Lincoln Center Thursday, September 20. The costumes for the evenings exclusive performance was designed by Valentino, who was also honored by the New York City Ballet Company. This collaboration was first put forth by actress and board member of the NYCB,
Sarah Jessica Parker (who hope that the fashion component would entice younger ballet patrons) and by Peter Martin, company director.
