  There is something familiar about this tree stand yet I can not remember where I have seen it before. I do not know if I had one like this when I was real small or if my grandmother had one but I know I've seen one before in person and it is now bugging me.

  I want this post to a very nice one because of my long absence from my blog and Advent calendar. I may have a few days where I will be able to write a post every day and then try to schedule future ones for later.

 I think this is special. The Italian artist  Giovanni Battista Salvi Madonna and Child. I can not find the year in which this was painted but it is a sweet and gentle depiction of the Holy Mother and Child.
