This is a tradition that I would like to start for Misha's Blue. This is truly my favorite time of year, even when I don't have the Ho, Ho, Ho spirit or whatever you would like to call it. I guess when it's 80 degrees outside when it is supposed to be in the 60's can make one feel that way. But I feel that the closer it gets to Yule/Christmas the better things will be.
This first days Advent calendar entry is something I would love to do some day...see a lot of snow and have a nice fire outside to sit by. It would be my first time so I may not know any better.
Nothing special. Just books, cats, flowers, teas &accessories. Plus music with maybe sports thrown in for fun.

13 Novembre 2015 - Viv La Paris
A sad ending to what had been a beautiful day. As we know Paris was attacked by terrorist who are jealous of women and therefore have an inferiority complex. I am being polite in my thoughts here because social graces holds back some worse things I would like to say about these flaming, jealous, small-minded (and an anatomical male part) eejets who like to think of themselves as men. As of now I am assuming these acts of terror were carried out only by men. May they get the shock of their after life when Allah won't have anything to do with them.
Enough about them. I wasted enough breath on them and they are not worthy of being spat on. May they get what they deserve from karma three times. So mote it be.
Paris will never die. If Paris can survive the hellhound Hitler it can survive his modern day comrades that think that their way of thinking and feeling are the only right way.
The scenes of Paris tonight are heart wrenching to say the least. I have been lucky to know that some of my online friends in and around Paris are fine. Love and prayers go to them.
In honor of those that were massacred this night and those that have thus far survived I want to share pictures of Paris that will never die because the spirit of good people are stronger than evil ones. besides if we forget, even for a moment, the love and kindness that is Paris then the ones that did what they did tonight will have one and I'll be damned if I will let that happen.
VIVE LA PARIS!
Eiffel Tower
Seine River, Paris
Gare Saint-Lazare
Pere Lachaise Cemetery
La Cagnotte de Bellville
Carousel by the Eiffel Tower
Cathedral de Notre Dame
Sacre-Couer Basilica
Parisian flea market
Of course the Champ Elysses and the Arc de Triumph. Paris will again triumph.

July 4, 2015
Hope everyone in America and those overseas are having or have had a good Fourth of July. I had rain earlier in the day but it has stayed cloudy but I don't think this will deter my neighbors from shooting fireworks.

Tea for Tuesday # 18 - Meryl Ruth Part 1 - Teapots
It has been within the last week that I have been on Pinterest that I have discovered Meryl Ruth and her teapots and teabags and have fallen in love with their quirkiness and cuteness. She has so many that I like that I have decided to break them down into two parts or installments. The first part is dedicated to her teapots and, hopefully I will not lapse in time, will do her teabags for part 2.
Meryl Ruth is owner of Porcelain Grace as well as being an art teacher of ceramic arts and award winning artist with museum exhibits who also sells of her works.
Here are a few of her tea pots.
Owl and the Pussycat teapot - 2010
Rocket Doggie Dog teapot - 2008
High Top Tea - 2008
Dysfunctional Par-Tea teapot -2013
Leather and Lace II, Ceramic teapot - 2008 (Makes me think of Stevie Nicks and Don Henley's song 'Leather and Lace' )
Sweet tea
Hanging Case Studies, Ceramic Hanging teapots -2014
Squeeze Me, Teas me - 2009
Mel-Oh-Tea Us - 2011
I know I have been going crazy with the teapots but this is to be the last one.
Pest-Tea - 2010

Tea for Tuesday #17 - Tea Time for St. Patrick
It is the day where green is the colour to beat. So for this year's St. Patrick's Day I thought it would be nice to have a tea time of tea served in green tea cups and maybe nibble on some green food. Do not worry my friends there is no green mold on the food.
First we must have a shamrock teapot or two.
Of course cucumber sandwiches seem to be a must. These are Chive Cream Cheese and Cucumber Sandwiches. Courtesy of The Chef in My Head blog.
There is also some matcha shortbread cookies that is courtesy of The Dirty Kitchen
An offering of a slice of Irish tea bread
Then there is also Irish tea cake
Now I think we should have some more tae to wash everything down with a wee piece of chocolate truffle.

Beleek tea set from Ireland is appropriate to have on this day.
Now let us pour ourselves a nice cuppa and relax.

Fashion Friday #31 - Ralph Lauren Fall 2015 Pret -a-Porter
It was not until I looked through my post did I realize that it has been almost a year since my last Fashion Friday post. All I ask for is your forgiveness. I know there is being late with something but this is ridiculous.
Anyway, I can't believe that this coming fall fashion collections are coming out when we are not even done with this winter, but they are. Ralph Lauren has shown his Autumn 2015 Pret-a-Porte collection and I, like real fashion critics, love the clothes. Then Ralph Lauren does not go over the top on the artistry of his clothes. In other words, his clothes don't go straight from the runway to a museum to be looked at Ralph Lauren's pieces go from the runway to the street or some gala. Granted most of us can not afford the straight to the street pieces let alone the gala pieces but they all look wearable.
Some of his pieces look to have fur but there was a statement at the bottom of his New York show notes that read:
"Ralph Lauren has a long commitment to not use fur products in our apparel and accessories.
Nice to know that is not fur. I used not to have a problem with fur wearing but I have out grown my fascination with fur and feel that it is okay to wear if it is part of your way of life i.e. Eskimos, Aleuts, etc. and native inhabitants of other countries close to the Arctic circle or in mountainous regions where it gets bitterly cold (no I do not mean the Northeast and Northern Central parts of the U.S. right now).
Alright off of my soapbox now. So...without further ado I give to you some of Ralph Lauren Fall 2015 collection.
Silk crochet and fringe
A friend said, roughly, when she saw this photo, she never would have thought of putting a Fedora borrowed from menswear with a lace dress, but on her it works. I love this white floral lace dress with the Fedora too.
To me this next outfit is 'Annie Hall' or Dianne Keaton taken up a notch.
This one kind of is 'Annie Hall'-ish as well.
Minus the shearling hat THIS is 'Annie Hall'
Socks with sandals? Really Mr. Lauren? Sorry love no dice from me on the footwear but the rest is okay.
If your flat on top great look but if your not...Nah...not a good look.
Almost looks like something is molting behind the model but it's just the jacket that was shown before this outfit.
The molting jacket/coat
Feel of the 1970's. I would so wear this if I didn't think I would either wash out or match it but then the white/off-white would be worse on me.
The hat with this dress escapes me
